Ansac's Danny Griffin stands next to his biomass kiln at the Mallee Industry Expo

THE recent Mallee Industry Expo in Narrogin saw the exhibition of the first biomass kiln from thermal processing and materials handling equipment company Ansac, a local take on growing international interest in pyrolytic technologies.

“We’ve always been involved in the business of burning things.” Ansac’s general manager Danny Griffin said.

According to Mr Griffin, the company shifted into pyrolysis (chemical decomposition through intense heating) technologies after seeing the massive demand in Europe for biomass energy and related equipment.
