HIM and the experiment to write the draft under watching eyes
On January 1st I started a new project. I was going to write a new book and get Sedition edited and you got to watch while I wrote. And I told you that I was setting up a Patreon account for those who wanted to donate towards editing fees for Sedition by letting them see the drafts of HIM as I wrote HIM.

I am now on Patreon
Over the past year, I have been looking into various means and platforms for crowdfunding. Why? Because I have a lot of ideas for novels and projects and while I make enough to support myself, sometimes these novels and projects incur costs to get them underway. The novels, for example, once the manuscripts are done and at first draft, require editing in order to actually be as cohesive and clear as possible before a potential publisher or agent or competition judge sees them. The Next Big Thing: Sedition
So Dale tagged me. Feel free to consider yourself tagged to answer these questions if you a) have a blog and b) have a book in the works. 1) What is the working title of your next book? ‘Tis called Sedition. 2) Where did the idea come from for the book? Sedition snippet

Current word count: Somewhere between 31,000 and 32,000 because I haven’t typed in everything I have written and the word count tends to double when I do. Usually. Process: I write the most important bits of dialogue, action and description in the scene down on paper – enough to keep the scene going and moving into the next. Then I type it into yWriter5 which helps you organise everything by chapter etc and when I type it in, I add all the rest of it like description, more slang, more action with the…

The Australian Women Writers Challenge 2013
The challenge is to read, review and promote Australian female writers in 2013. You can sign up here. I guess a special part of this challenge is that as I am an Australian female writer, I should try to get my book finished as well. So I won’t just be reviewing, I will be writing as well. So I will update you as I go. Australian Female Authors & Titles My first title to be reviewed will be Kerry Greenwood’s latest Phryne Fisher novel Unnatural Habits. My (probably third, rather than second since I do not have the book with me right now) will be Amanda Curtin’s latest collection of short…
